Christmas Island is an easy destination to visit, but planning ahead will help you get the most out of your time here.

The first thing to decide is when you’re going to visit – perhaps you’d like to observe the annual red crab migration or dive with visiting whale sharks?

Getting to the park is easy thanks to regular flights from Perth, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. You’ll need to rent a car to get around, or you can join a tour and let one of the locals do the driving for you. There are plenty of accommodation options on the island as well as a wide range of places to eat.

You should also check out what to bring, download our visitor guide and find out about phone and internet access on the island.
